    COOKING

I have to admit it’s been awhile since I made a meatloaf, it’s one of those dishes that I love but keep forgetting about it but on the weekend i wanted to surprise my family with this beautiful dish that took only 30 min to prepare and although it requires a bit of patience to cook thoroughly but trust me you will not regret it, my family absolutely LOVED IT! It was wiped entirely within 10 minutes!
With this recipe I loved using one of my favorite meat brands & what I love most about @sunfedranch_official is that their cattle roams freely on thousands of acres of green field here in sunny Northern California to provide its 100% grass fed delicious, fresh & very rich in flavor.
Now let’s dig into our recipe!

Ingredients

* 500g/1lb grass fed organic ground beef (85%lean 15%fat) @sunfedranch
* 5 Sausages, cut into small pieces
* 1 onion finely chopped,
* 2 garlic cloves, finely copped
* 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
* 5 hard boiled (8 minutes) eggs, peeled
* 500g/1lb Puff pastry
* 2 tbsp flour
* 1/2 tbsp 7 spices(optional)
* 4 tbsp dried parsley
* 1 tsp Chili flakes
* 1 beaten egg
* Salt and pepper

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 230C or 450F
Put all ingredients into a bowl & mix together really well until it holds together.
1. Lay two long lengths of cling film on your worktop, one overlapping the other. Turn the meat mixture on to it & pat it out with damp hands into a rectangular shape about 30x25cm/12x10in. Line up the hard-boiled eggs in a row down the center of the rectangle, With the aid of the cling film, create a large sausage shape. Twist the ends of the cling film & put the roll into the freezer to hold. Roll out the pastry to about 35x35cm/14x14in, remove the meat roll from the cling film & place lengthways on the rolled-out pastry.
2. Bring one side of the pastry over the meat roll, then bring the other side, close edges by brushed beaten egg.
3. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg, place on a baking tray. Put it into the preheated oven & bake for about 2-3.5h, or until the pastry is golden-brown and the roll is cooked through.
